First Look: 2014 Ram ProMaster

The moment that we’ve been patiently waiting for has arrived. The future of full-size commercial vans is here and, hyperbole aside, the 2014 Ram ProMaster is set to lap the competitors when it arrives at dealerships in Q3. Today at the 2013 Chicago Auto Show, commercial customers, small business owners, and the general public are getting their first glimpse of what’s to come.

Why should commercial customers and small business owners be so excited for the 2014 ProMaster? Because this full-size commercial van is made specifically for them, with their needs, wants, and bottom line built right into it. For example, the ProMaster delivers the following best-in-class features, sure to be appreciated by the hard-working customers of Ram’s new van:

      • Cargo capacity
      • Payload
      • Total cost of ownership
      • Turning radius
      • Interior ceiling height
      • Step-in height

The 2014 Ram ProMaster is available in two roof heights, three wheelbases, and four body lengths, offering either a chassis cab or a cutaway from the factory. And the van ushers in the North American debut of the world-class, torque-rich 3.0-liter I-4 EcoDiesel engine. In the coming days and weeks, we’re going to dig deeper into everything the 2014 Ram ProMaster has to offer commercial customers and small business owners, so stay tuned.

On top of all that, we have something special in store for readers of The Working Blog (and for small business owners or commercial buyers in need of a brand-new, top-of-the-line commercial van). Be sure to check back later today as we launch a contest to win one of the very first 2014 Ram ProMaster full-size commercial vans to roll off the line.
